How do I connect my first device?

After creating an account, go to your dashboard and click "Add Device". Follow the setup wizard to configure your device with the provided MQTT credentials. See the documentation for step-by-step guides.

What protocols are supported?

We support MQTT (over TLS) and HTTP ingestion. Most IoT devices connect using MQTT on port 8883, while HTTP is ideal for devices with cellular or WiFi connectivity. Check docs.siliconwit.io for protocol-specific setup instructions.

How do I set up alerts?

Navigate to the Alerts page in your dashboard to create alert rules. You can set thresholds on any data field and choose to receive notifications via email (all plans) or SMS (Business plan and above).

What happens when my plan expires?

You will receive an email reminder 7 days before expiry. After expiry, your account is downgraded to the Free plan (2 active devices, 7-day data retention). You can unlock a 3rd device by making one public. Data older than 7 days will be deleted after a 3-day grace period. Upgrade anytime to restore your previous limits.

Can I export my data?

Yes. From any device's detail page, you can export telemetry data as CSV or Excel. Paid plans also have API access for programmatic data retrieval.

Is there a mobile app?

The web dashboard is fully responsive and works great on any mobile browser. You can also install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA) from your browser for a native-like experience.
